Christian Political Forum in Bendigo

The Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) are running a forum in Bendigo for Christians to meet and question some of the candidates from the Bendigo East electorate for the upcoming Victorian state election. This event is on:

  • Wednesday 17th November
  • 7.30pm
  • Bendigo Baptist Church

The ACL have a reputation for a narrow range of issues they will name as “Christian”, but I have seen a broadening of its agenda in the last few years – a great thing.

I encourage you to come along, and email rob.ward@acl.org.au to give suggestions for hard questions to be asked at this forum.

Position Vacant – Bike Butcher

Bike Butcher has received some funding from the Department of Planning & Community Development. This money is to conduct a feasibility study into Bike Butcher being set up as a social enterprise.

Kinda sounds boring…In reality, whoever did this job would be recycling bikes with young adults one day a week, and doing the legwork for the feasibility study – stuff like interviewing bike retailers, finding out whether anyone wants to buy the bike etc.

If you think you would be good for this job, or you know someone, contact Ali Turnbull on (03) 5410 0663 or email ride@bikebutcher.org.
