Enjoy a Christmas Eve Service at St Matthew’s Church, Long Gully.
There’ll be carols, the Christmas story and supper afterwards.
St Matthew’s is kid-friendly and if you don’t come to church much, we’re not phased.
The Twilight Festival in Long Gully returns!! Last year this was a real hit, and this year promises to be just as enjoyable.
Food, games, performances, workshops – this festival will be a spring spectacular.
If you’re from the Gully, or from the other side of town, head to St Matthew’s.
Date: Friday, November 6th
Activities confirmed so far:
– face painting
– primary school art exhibition
– wood fired pizza in our custom built oven
– devonshire tea to raise money for local community groups
– scarecrow creation
– seedlings for sale
– fire buckets
– Karen cooking demonstration
– home-made lemonade
– have a go at a decoupage mural
….and more to come…
We’re not expecting a “shirtfront” scenario, but at the Twilight Festival tonight Ms Maree Edwards MP, member for Bendigo West, will be presenting out Art Exhibition prizes. Her challenger in the upcoming state election, Mr Michael Langdon, will be coming along as well.
We expect our newly crowned Mayor, Cr Peter Cox to also make an appearance.
Getting together with others makes us want to eat! We’ll be cranking up the wood-fired pizza oven and the BBQ for your consuming pleasure.
Have a go at some art at the Twilight Festival this Friday at St Matt’s Long Gully. We’ll have 4 different opportunities for you. You don’t have to be an expert, just up for having a go:
Love a good Devonshire Tea? Indulge with a conscience at the Twilight Festival this Friday, as we raise money for the Kids Garden Club. This is a partnership between the Hope…It Grows! community garden and Bendigo Violet Street Primary School.
