Youth Group
St Matthew’s runs a youth group for local young people aged 12 – 18 years. It is co-ordinated by leaders from St Matthew’s, and has an emphasis on helping young people to take responsibility for the group. Updated information is also available in the Facebook group.
We like to go outdoors, eat together, discuss interesting topics and have fun! Some of the things we’ve done in the past couple of years are: bush camping; wood-turning; MasterChef; scavenger hunts; paper clip swaps; movie nights; and a trip to the beach.
All leaders have undergone child safety training, and have Working With Children checks. The co-ordinator of the youth group is also a qualified youth worker and teacher.
There is no cost to the program, although we do have an excursion once per term which has a small cost. If cost is a barrier to your child taking part, please let us know as we can assist.
